Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Accountant to oversee internal firm finances and manage comprehensive accounting services for a select group of high-net-worth clients and family offices. This role requires a versatile professional who excels at full-cycle bookkeeping, complex financial consolidation, and maintaining high standards of discretion and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate possesses a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude, comfortably balancing high-level financial management with day-to-day administrative support in a collaborative, small-firm environment.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Firm Accounting & Operations

  • Manage end-to-end internal firm finances, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and firm payroll processing.
  • Oversee office infrastructure, vendor relations, firm billing, and operational maintenance.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding firm financials, strategy, and sensitive records.
  • Provide cross-functional administrative support as needed, including serving as backup for front-office reception and tax return assembly during peak periods.

Client Financial Management & Bookkeeping

  • Deliver full-cycle ("cradle-to-grave") bookkeeping and accounting for diverse client entities, including high-net-worth family groups, medical practices, ranches, and legal entities.
  • Prepare, integrate, and consolidate multi-entity financial statements featuring complex ownership structures.
  • Process client payroll and prepare routine sales tax filings.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, delivering clear, professional, and responsive communication.
  • Collaborate closely with senior tax specialists and management to prepare financial documentation for review.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Related Field
  • Experience: 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management experience, ideally within a public accounting firm or family office setting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of QuickBooks and core accounting software; proficient in complex multi-entity consolidations.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a high degree of discretion and integrity.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to interface directly with high-profile clients.
  • Adaptability: A proactive team player willing to assist with non-accounting administrative tasks when necessary.

Compensation up to $90K with a discretionary bonus.
