We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead day-to-day financial operations. This role is well suited for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can manage high-volume accounting activity, protect sensitive information, and deliver dependable results in a fast-moving setting. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, solid technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to support business decisions through accurate reporting and financial analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the accounting team and coordinate daily departmental activities to ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare and review monthly financial reporting, helping maintain reliable records and consistent close processes.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows to support timely processing and strong cash management.
• Analyze financial data and develop cash flow projections to assist with operational planning and decision-making.
• Evaluate existing accounting practices, identify opportunities to improve efficiency, and implement practical process enhancements.
• Maintain internal accounting guidelines and ensure procedures are followed across routine financial operations.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of required tax filings and other state or federal financial reports within established deadlines.
• Provide management with financial research, reporting, and analysis to support planning and business performance review.
• Coordinate with banking partners, external accounting advisors, investment professionals, and related financial contacts as needed.
• Contribute to additional projects such as reconciliations, purchasing support, document control, and data analysis, including occasional evening or weekend work when deadlines require it.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including 3 or more years leading staff or supervising an accounting function.
• Prior hands-on experience with accounts payable processes and strong working knowledge of QuickBooks.
• Advanced Excel capabilities, including building and editing spreadsheets, using formulas, analyzing data, and working with pivot tables.
• Demonstrated ability to manage general ledger activity, journal entries, month-end close, and account reconciliations.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to solve problems, identify trends, and balance detailed execution with broader business priorities.
• Effective communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Discretion, sound judgment, and a dependable approach to confidential financial information.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
