Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair a variety of compact construction and turf equipment. This position is ideal for an experienced technician who is highly proficient in troubleshooting diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
The successful candidate will have experience working on skid steers, mini excavators, compact track loaders, and zero-turn mowers, and possess the ability to accurately diagnose and repair equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related components.
- Troubleshoot complex hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Perform repairs on skid steers, mini excavators, compact track loaders, and zero-turn mowers.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and service manuals.
- Repair and replace hydraulic pumps, cylinders, motors, valves, hoses, and fittings.
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including sensors, controllers, charging systems, and starting systems.
- Utilize diagnostic software, scan tools, and testing equipment to identify equipment failures.
- Complete preventative maintenance inspections and services.
- Document repairs, parts usage, and maintenance activities accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of diesel or heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic experience required.
- Experience servicing compact construction and turf equipment.
- Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and equipment controls.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license required.
- CDL is a plus but not required.
Requirements
- Must provide and maintain your own mechanic hand tools.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
