We are seeking a highly autonomous, seasoned Commercial HVAC Estimator who knows their craft inside and out. This position is built for an expert who is entirely self-sufficient, thrives without micromanagement, and can confidently take ownership of the entire estimation lifecycle.
What the Day-to-Day Looks Like
• Autonomous Bidding & Estimating: Review commercial construction blueprints, engineering specifications, and architectural plans to completely manage and build precise, competitive project bids.
• Sheet Metal & Ductwork Takeoffs: Execute accurate, efficient digital takeoffs using Quote Soft Sheet Metal software to break down materials, equipment, routing, and labor targets.
• Leverage Professional Networks: Utilize your established industry connections to foster vendor, subcontractor, and general contractor relationships, helping secure competitive quotes and expand our market visibility.
• Procurement & Quote Evaluation: Distribute RFP packages, verify scope alignment on vendor equipment quotes, and detail exact cost/margin rollups for executive sign-off before final bid submission.
• Project Turnover: Ensure a flawless transition of bid files, critical project notes, and scope definitions to Project Managers and field teams during onboarding.
What We're Looking For
• Verifiable Estimating Experience: 5 to 8+ years of proven, verifiable experience as a Seasoned mechanical estimator running commercial HVAC bids.
• Prior Field Experience: Practical, hands-on field experience in commercial HVAC installation, piping, sheet metal fabrication, or service. You must understand how these systems are built in the real world.
• Software Proficiency: Specialized, hands-on experience utilizing Quote Soft Sheet Metal takeoff software is highly critical for this role. General proficiency with advanced Excel functions is required.
• Established Industry Relationships: A pre-existing network of local client, contractor, and vendor relationships is a solid benefit that will help you excel immediately.
• The Right Fit: A proactive professional with elite attention to detail who does not need to be micromanaged. You must be sharp with numbers, highly self-sufficient, and deeply confident in your estimating accuracy.
Position Details & Pay
• Location: On-site at our Phoenix, AZ office (85027).
• Schedule: Full-time salaried position. Requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, with the capability to scale up to 50 hours as needed during heavy bid crunches or month-end deadlines.
• Pay: Salary highly negotiable D.O.E. (Depending on Experience). We offer a comprehensive health insurance package.
We are a Very busy Fast Paced Company with an Extraordinary amount of work in the Commercial & Industrial Construction side of HVAC & Contracting. You will always have 40-hour work weeks Monday thru Friday. Weekends and Holidays Off!
