IMC Logistics is looking for a Driver Instructor to join our team.

We're seeking an outgoing, friendly, and safety-focused individual who is passionate about supporting and retaining our drivers. While prior experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a great attitude and a strong desire to learn.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for new drivers, helping to onboard and train them on our systems and procedures. You'll play a critical part in ensuring our drivers feel welcomed and supported, fostering a positive and safe work environment. Responsibilities

  • New Hire Orientation & Training: Conduct orientation for new drivers, including training on ELDs (Samsara), dispatch systems, fuel management, and other applications.
  • Driver Support & Retention: Be a go-to resource for drivers, providing ongoing instruction and training, and responding to their questions and concerns.
  • Safety & Compliance: Assist with all aspects of safety compliance, including accident investigation, daily log audits, and conducting random drug/alcohol tests.
  • Administrative Tasks: Process driver applications using the Tenstreet platform, assist with safety reports, and manage supplies like safety gear and ELDs.
  • Fleet Management: Help supervise maintenance and repair reports for our company truck fleet and install onboard cameras and ELDs.

Qualifications

  • An outgoing and friendly personality with a desire to support and interact with drivers.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to operate small handheld tools and climb into a tractor-trailer for inspections and installations.
