Position TypePart-Time | Speech-Language Pathologist
York Terrace is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our therapy team. This is a great opportunity for an SLP looking for a flexible schedule while making a meaningful difference in the lives of residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.
As an SLP at York Terrace, you will provide individualized evaluation and treatment to residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to develop effective treatment plans and help residents achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life.
What You'll DoEvaluate residents' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and resident goals.
Provide skilled speech-language therapy to address communication, cognition, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Perform swallowing evaluations and provide appropriate treatment and dietary recommendations in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
Collaborate with nursing, dietary, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other members of the care team.
Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment strategies, communication techniques, and swallowing safety.
Complete required evaluations, progress notes, treatment documentation, and discharge summaries accurately and timely.
Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and professional standards.
Promote resident dignity, safety, independence, and quality of life.
Current Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
CCC-SLP preferred and/or must meet Pennsylvania licensure requirements.
Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric care is preferred.
Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
