Director of Operations

Our client, a multi-region electronic security and door opening integrator, is opening a new Director of Operations seat as they scale across the East Coast. This is a build role. You are not stepping into a finished operation, you are the one building the systems that let it run without you in every room. If you have already done that once somewhere else and you get results through process instead of personal heroics, this is worth a conversation.
What You Get to Do
Run a full diagnostic of current install and service operations: where the gaps sit between sales handoff, installation, and service delivery
Map the future-state process, build the implementation plan, then execute it yourself
Own P&L for your operations, working from dashboards and metrics you put in place, not gut feel
Build and run a training and mentoring program for your teams, including the content and the cadence
Get consistent, strong output from your average and above-average technicians and PMs through the systems you build, not by chasing star hires
Own the sales-to-install handoff end to end so nothing falls through the cracks between the two functions
What You Have Already Done
Built an operational system from scratch at least once, not just operated inside one someone else designed
Owned P&L for an install and service business, in security or any comparable trades or services field
Run the full cycle yourself: gap assessment, process design, implementation, and ongoing management
Personally built and delivered training programs, not just delegated them
Managed the handoff from sales through installation in a business where that handoff actually matters
Based in or open to the Carolinas or Mid-Atlantic
