Restaurant Server

East Asian Kitchen is a popular and successful restaurant serving authentic Korean, Japanese and Chinese cuisines is looking to hire servers. Our customers mean the world to us.

Part time or full time position available . Applicants must be friendly, comfortable working in a fast paced environment and team oriented.

Previous experience as a server. East Asian Kitchen is open from 11:30 am-9pm. Closed Tuesdays.. POS system knowledge is a plus. Open availability is a plus.

Must be available to work consistently, have a positive attitude at all times and be an excellent communicator. Must have reliable transportation. Must be drugfree.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: greeting guests, offering menu assistance, offering specials, order taking, delivering food and beverages, follow up, guest retention, cleaning, sanitizing, side work, team work of all varieties, reporting thoroughly to management, being responsible for cash and credit payments, etc.

Server Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet tables promptly
• Answer questions about menu items
• Accurately take customer orders and relay them to the kitchen staff
• Facilitate filling drink orders with the bar
• Gracefully suggest/upsell additional menu items, such as desserts and drinks
• Offer special assistance to patrons with specific needs, such as highchairs for children
• Familiarization with the menu and cuisine for questions about popular items
• Accommodate patron with food allergies
• Use the POS system to accurately calculate the patron's bill
• Sidework
• Closeout all checks at the end of every shift

Server Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year wait staff experience
• Basic math skills
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Familiarity with restaurant POS software a plus
• Ability to thrive in an fast paced environment
• Interest in shift work

Job Type: Full or Part-time availability

Pay: $7.20 per hour + Tips (Pay above $150-$250/ shift reflects average tips you can make on a slow shift to busy shift)
