Manufacturing Engineer

Description

This role supports the Vehicle Systems Product Interface Team and will provide a consistent voice of Manufacturing to Product Engineering for a given global architecture/style. In this job you will represent Manufacturing while interfacing with Product Engineering and the program team. Review designs and assess the assembly methods of these designs to ensure they drive common processes and meet Manufacturing Requirements while innovating to minimize labor and complexity impacts to the plants. Analyze the overall impact to GM and make the best enterprise decisions to help set the direction for a program. Support meetings with Product Engineering and be the voice of manufacturing. Conduct and assess dynamic and static studies, virtual reality reviews, process virtual builds, assess ergonomic impacts, support prototype builds and many others to ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements and are buildable to our standard processes.

This is a Contract position based out of Warren, MI.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
