Job Title: Order FillerJob Description

This role focuses on accurately pulling parts and materials from a stockroom to support production, documenting orders, and using basic technology to track inventory. You will work on a small team in a corporate manufacturing facility, using an RF scanner and computer to scan products in and out and ensure all pieces, parts, and orders are correctly prepared for production.

Responsibilities
  • Pull parts and materials from the stockroom to fulfill production orders.
  • Gather all necessary materials, pieces, and parts from the stockroom for production needs.
  • Assemble and build the required pieces, parts, and orders to support production activities.
  • Lift and move parts and materials safely as part of daily tasks.
  • Scan products in and out using an RF scanner to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Enter and update order information into the internal computer system with attention to detail.
  • Document orders accurately, including quantities, part numbers, and other relevant details.
  • Perform packing, picking, and packaging tasks to prepare items for production or distribution.
  • Handle general material handling duties such as stocking, palletizing, and loading as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with a small team in the stockroom and packing area to meet production timelines.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work station and stockroom area.
  • Interact professionally with individuals across the corporate and manufacturing facility as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to perform order picking, packing, and general labor tasks in a stockroom or warehouse environment.
  • Experience with material handling activities such as stocking, loading, palletizing, and order picking.
  • Basic computer skills to perform data entry and use an internal system for documenting orders.
  • Ability to use an RF scanner to scan products in and out and track inventory.
  • Capability to lift and move parts and materials safely throughout the shift.
  • Ability to pass a 3rd grade reading level test.
  • Comfort working in a production, warehouse, or distribution setting.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when documenting orders and handling inventory.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with warehouse tools and equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts is beneficial.
  • Experience working in warehouse distribution, production, or warehouse packing environments is an advantage.
  • Comfort working in a smaller team environment and communicating with various levels of staff.
  • No specific education or formal certificates required.

Work Environment

This role is based in a smaller stockroom within a corporate and manufacturing facility rather than a large warehouse. You will work on a first shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. as part of a team of about five people, with approximately four others working in the packing area. Each team member has their own work station equipped with a computer. The environment is friendly and conversational, with opportunities to interact with various staff members, including senior leaders. You will use tools such as RF scanners, computers, and typical warehouse and material handling equipment in a production and distribution setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McCook, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $15.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
