Job Title: RN – Labor and Delivery
Location: Neptune, NJ
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night/Day | 7:00 PM–7:30 AM / 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | 3 out of 6 holidays required | No on-call | No floating
Local Candidates Required: Yes
Traveler Candidates Required: Yes

Pay Rate
Local: $65–$68/hour
Traveler: $70–$73/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN to provide patient-centered nursing care throughout the labor and delivery process, including antepartum and newborn care.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the related specialty.

  • Labor and Delivery experience.

  • Antepartum experience.

  • Newborn experience.

  • ASN required.

  • Advanced AWHONN or EFM certification.

  • BLS-AHA certification.

  • NRP certification.

  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Compact License.

  • English proficiency: Read, Write, and Speak.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience.

  • BSN.

  • ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.

  • Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs.

  • Identify patient needs and determine priorities through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

  • Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments.

  • Initiate assessments based on patient problems/needs, physician diagnosis, and functional health framework.

  • Perform therapeutic nursing interventions.

  • Manage care of assigned patients.

  • Document care according to standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.

  • Advocate for evidence-based care standards and support evidence-based practices and innovations.

  • Provide patient-centered care aligned with the professional nursing practice model.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
