General Description:Supervises team in implementation and daily execution of product specification testing, food safety and quality procedures.

·Provides leadership across all food safety, quality programs and lab activities

·Review documentation from the quality lab to ensure accuracy

·Perform monthly chemical and expendable inventory to submit requests to QSM for ordering

·Write, review and implement lab safety protocols

·Maintain weekly microbiological sample submission program

·Manages sample retention and evaluation program

·Develops and trains staff on standards, processes and skills fundamental to food safety/quality

Education/Experience/Capabilities Requirements

• Previous supervisory experience in a food production environment required.
• Must have an understanding of GMP and HACCP.
• Must have proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal communication and oral presentation skills.
• Must demonstrate good leadership skills.
• Must have good technical reading and writing skills.
• Must have good math and analytical skills.
• Must be dependable and prompt with strong integrity and work ethic.
• Self-motivated, flexible and able to adapt to a fast paced, rapidly changing work environment; able to work well with others
