Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, support production employees, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are consistently met.
This position will play a key role in building a strong production team, improving processes, and supporting continued growth within the operation. The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing leadership experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to coach employees, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain accountability across the team.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Must be flexible as production needs change.
- Schedule may transition to a 4x12 operation in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities and employees.
- Assign work, monitor performance, and ensure production goals are met.
- Provide direction, coaching, and training to machine operators and production employees.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, quality, and overall employee performance.
- Ensure machines and production areas are operating safely and efficiently.
- Assist with troubleshooting production, equipment, and process issues.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Quality teams when issues arise.
- Monitor product quality and ensure specifications and standards are followed.
- Support machine start-ups, shutdowns, changeovers, and production scheduling.
- Maintain accurate production, downtime, scrap, and quality records.
- Enforce safety procedures, company policies, and work instructions.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize scrap.
- Help develop employees with the potential to move into lead or other leadership roles.
- Communicate production updates, challenges, and staffing needs to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment.
General Requirements
- Previous production supervisor, manufacturing lead, or similar leadership experience required.
- Experience in manufacturing or machine-operated production environments.
- Experience with blow molding, injection molding, or plastics manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coach employees and hold teams accountable.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic production issues.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, and production standards.
- Dependable, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of daily production operations.
