Warren & Grant, P.A. is seeking a full-time litigation paralegal / case manager to join our Boca Raton litigation team.
Our firm focuses primarily on commercial landlord / tenant matters, including commercial rent collection cases and commercial eviction cases. We are looking for a litigation paralegal / case manager who understands all aspects of State court litigation, including trial, knows how to manage a case file from start to finish, and who naturally thinks ahead. The ideal candidate is someone who knows what needs to be done, takes initiative, follows through, and brings solutions not just problems to the attorneys.
The scheduled work hours are 9am - 5pm. This is an 'on-site" position. Remote work is not an option.
The Role:
You'll work directly with our attorneys to manage commercial landlord-tenant cases and lawsuits from intake through resolution from the default notice through possession, judgment, and collection. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys volume, structure, and seeing cases through to a result. This is a hands-on position with real responsibility and variety, ideal for someone who enjoys ownership of their files and thrives in a small-firm setting.
Duties:
· Providing legal assistance to attorneys on litigation matters
· Manage a high-volume caseload of commercial eviction and rent collection matters from intake through final judgment and post-judgment collection
· File documents through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal and track deadlines in county and circuit courts
· Scheduling hearings, mediations, and depositions
· Filing Court documents with the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal
· Coordinate issuance and execution of writs of possession with the clerk and sheriff's offices
· Calendar management and adherence to deadlines
· Interact with clients, Judges, opposing counsel, clerks, etc.
· Maintain accurate records in our case management system and generate status reports
· Some administrative tasks as needed
Mandatory Qualifications:
· 5+ years of litigation paralegal / case manager experience.
· Trial and Evidentiary Hearing experience, including documentary evidence preparation and submittal
· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe, and similar programs
· Detail-Oriented; attentive to deadlines
· Good grammar and presentation
· Able to work well in a small team environment
