seeking a Business Analyst who will also serve as Scrum Master for our Software Development team. This person will translate operational needs into clear, sprint-ready user stories, and will own the health of our Agile process facilitating ceremonies, removing impediments, and keeping the team focused and delivering. They will learn our business and manufacturing processes, work directly with end users and developers, and maintain a consistent pipeline of refined work for upcoming sprints.
This role will not serve as a barrier between developers and users. Developers will remain involved in discovery and solution discussions when their technical insight is valuable.
Key Responsibilities
Meet with users, department leaders, and developers to understand business needs and operational challenges.
Learn the company's manufacturing processes, business rules, and software applications.
Convert requests into well-defined user stories with acceptance criteria, exceptions, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
Facilitate discovery and backlog-refinement discussions throughout each sprint.
Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Identify unclear, conflicting, or duplicate requirements and potential impacts on other systems or departments.
Create process flows, mockups, and supporting documentation when beneficial.
Track and communicate sprint progress, velocity, and burndown to stakeholders.
Assist with prioritization, user acceptance testing, and communication of completed changes.
Qualifications
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to learn complex business and manufacturing processes.
Experience gathering and documenting business or software requirements.
Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews).
Comfortable working with both technical and nontechnical employees.
Willingness to spend time with end users in office and plant-floor environments.
Experience with Agile software development, manufacturing operations, or internally developed applications is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Agile/Scrum Familiarity: While not the primary focus, an understanding of the Scrum Master role was discussed. The team is willing to teach this aspect, but any existing knowledge would be a plus.
Technical Aptitude: While it is a strictly functional role with no hands-on technical work, they mentioned it would be "nice" for the candidate to have some technical knowledge to better understand and support the developers they'll be working with.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
