Private Companies Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking a Private Companies Associate Attorney to join a prestigious AmLaw firm and nationally recognized private companies practice. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with some of the most prominent high-growth companies and venture capital investors in the market as part of a sophisticated, growing national team.

The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience advising early-stage and growth-stage companies and their investors, with strong experience in venture capital and general corporate matters.

Responsibilities:

• Advise innovative, venture-backed companies throughout their growth cycle.

• Handle sophisticated venture capital financings, liquidity events, and other corporate transactions.

• Counsel high-growth companies and leading investors on a broad range of strategic and general corporate matters.

• Work alongside a nationally recognized team representing some of the market's most prominent emerging and high-growth companies.

Qualifications:

• 3-6 years of experience advising early-stage and growth-stage companies.

• Strong experience counseling venture-backed companies on general corporate matters, venture capital financings, and liquidity events.

• Experience with a national or international law firm preferred.

• Strong academic credentials.

Locations: Washington, DC; Reston, VA

Salary: $260,000-$390,000, depending on geographic location, experience, and skillset.
