Step into a day leading precision manufacturing
As the Production Supervisor for our precision machining operations, you’ll start your day in the ERP system, confirming materials and capacity, then walk the floor to align your team around the plan. You’ll set expectations, balance resources, and keep output on pace with the production scheduleall while safeguarding quality, safety, and cleanliness across the shop.
What you’ll own
- Translate the production plan into clear tasks and staffing for the day; track performance to the schedule and course-correct in real time.
- Support recruiting and selection of production team members to build a high-performing crew.
- Uphold quality by ensuring operators follow standardized checks and documented procedures.
- Lead training and cross-training; conduct regular check-ins to review progress and refine development plans.
- Set performance expectations, observe work, coach effectively, manage discipline when needed, and deliver feedback through our appraisal process.
- Participate in routine safety inspections and reinforce practices aligned with OSHA requirements.
- Maintain a clean, orderly shop floor that supports safe, efficient work.
- Keep materials flowingmanage stock levels for raw materials, consumables, packaging, and finished goods to meet demand.
- Provide direction and oversight for production activities on off-shifts as needed to maintain continuity.
Background that sets you up for success
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree in business, operations, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 3+ years in a supervisory capacity.
- Hands-on manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment.
Technical knowledge
- Solid grasp of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and foundational manufacturing principles.
- Working knowledge of CNC machining and milling operations.
- Comfort with Microsoft software and familiarity with ERP platforms.
