As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you play a vital role in the development of application specific products through electrical design, process development, and production readiness for new and existing OEM programs.

Specific duties and responsibilities:
- Create electrical schematics, panel design, bills of materials, work instructions, and electrical test procedures consistent with ABTech documentation systems.
- Investigate, evaluate, select, implement and troubleshoot electrical components for the products to ensure we meet or exceed customer expectations while staying on track with master production schedule.
- Provide technical support to the purchasing department relating to procurement of electrical components as needed.
- Act as an engineering-based resource for electro-mechanical assemblers.
- Understand, modify and maintain plc programs and application software used by motion control suppliers. Application specific software (PLC's and servo settings) to be stored on the Network system consistent with ABTech documentation procedures.
- Manage an appropriate inventory of electronic test equipment required for product testing and troubleshooting

Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum requirement: 5+ years of experience in electrical controls design of motion systems
- Electrical or Electromechanical degree preferred
- An eye for continuous improvement and process development
- Knowledgeable in NFPA safety regulations, UL & CE documentation requirements
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ideal candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys product development and collaboration in a team environment
