Description
The OTA Intern will support Percheron's Operational Transformation & Intelligent Automation team across process improvement, data reporting, and automation initiatives that span multiple departments. This internship offers hands-on exposure to business process analysis, Power BI reporting, and AI/automation tool development, working directly with the OTA team on projects with company-wide visibility, with exact projects tailored to the OTA Intern’s interests and skillset.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
- Basic understanding of data visualization and reporting principles
- Exposure to Power BI, Python, or SQLa plus
- Interest or coursework in process automation, RPA, or workflow tools (e.g., Power Automate)
- Practical, hands-on familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability tounderstand anddocument processes clearly
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and shifting priorities across multiple departments
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Document current-state and future-state process maps for cross-departmental workflows
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards using data from a variety of sources
- Document data definitions, sources, and known data-quality issues
- Assist with ad hoc data pulls and analysis requests
- Test and refine automation workflows built in Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Research and evaluate AI tools/use cases for potential adoption
- Support prompt development and testing for AI-enabled tools (Copilot, Claude) used across departments
- Document automation use cases, ROI estimates, and rollout plans
- Track and report on automation adoption metrics
- Support meeting prep (agendas, notes, and follow-up tracking) for OTA initiatives
- Assist with change-management communications for new tool or process rollouts
- Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.
- Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
- Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures
