We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Principal Digital Signal Processing Engineer to develop advanced signal processing solutions supporting mission-critical applications. This role is ideal for a motivated engineer with expertise in algorithm development, digital communications, RF systems, and software-defined signal processing technologies.

The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary engineering team focused on innovative solutions across a variety of defense and intelligence-related programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize advanced digital signal processing algorithms.
  • Implement signal processing solutions using MATLAB, Python, C/C++, CUDA, OpenCL, or similar technologies.
  • Analyze and process signals in both time and frequency domains.
  • Support development of digital communication systems and modulation techniques.
  • Contribute to RF signal processing architectures, link budget analysis, and waveform development.
  • Collaborate with software, FPGA, RF, antenna, and systems engineering teams.
  • Support research, testing, performance analysis, and deployment of DSP solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship on complex engineering efforts.
Desired Technical Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly preferred:

  • Radar systems (SAR/ISAR)
  • Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) and Low Probability of Detection (LPD) waveforms
  • Electronic Warfare (EW) systems
  • Software Defined Radios (SDRs)
  • Image processing
  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications for signal processing
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience; OR
  • Master's degree in a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience; OR
  • PhD in a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Strong proficiency in MATLAB with a focus on Digital Signal Processing
  • Experience with software development, embedded systems, AI/ML applications, or FPGA design
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with C/C++, Python, and Linux/UNIX development environments
  • Experience developing real-time signal processing applications
  • Knowledge of digital communication systems and RF signal processing chains
  • FPGA development experience, including low SWaP solutions
  • Experience with CUDA, OpenCL, or GPU-accelerated computing
  • Experience with SoCs, DSP processors, or embedded development platforms
  • Experience with VHDL or Verilog
  • Familiarity with HDL simulation and verification tools
  • Experience working with Xilinx, Intel (Altera), or Microchip FPGA technologies
  • Experience applying AI/ML techniques to signal classification, denoising, anomaly detection, source separation, or related signal processing challenges
  • Previous technical leadership experience

This is a Contract position based out of Cincinnati, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
