Job Title: Inventory Technician
Location: Painted Post, NY 14870
Duration: 9 months | Potential toextend OR Convert into full time
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM,M-F 40 hours
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, organize, inventory, and manage laboratory equipment and parts.
- Build and maintain an inventory of critical laboratory parts and assemblies.
- Enter equipment and inventory information into an inventory management system.
- Learn and use the inventory management system and train others as needed.
- Research and document equipment specifications.
- Organize and manage laboratory spaces within the MSE department.
- Inspect and document laboratory spaces for safety and general issues.
- Help maintain clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environments.
- Research, order, and set up laboratory equipment.
- Support the development and implementation of labeling, scanning, and inventory management methods.
- Explore and develop new methods, including AI-enabled approaches, to identify and locate equipment needed for building and prototyping.
- Work closely with engineers and the MSE team to maintain an organized and effective laboratory environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or Bachelor's degree preferred. A Bachelor's degree in a non-technical field with relevant technical experience may also be considered.
- 3–5 years of laboratory experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment.
- Ability to research laboratory parts, equipment, and specifications online.
- Ability to follow and implement laboratory safety protocols and equipment procedures.
- Ability to learn and appropriately use company systems and inventory management tools.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
