Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, and financial reporting
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for multiple entities
  • Prepare and review financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and management reporting packages
  • Partner with ownership on cash flow management, profitability analysis, and strategic planning initiatives
  • Manage work-in-progress reporting, job costing, inventory-related accounting, and operational financial analysis
  • Coordinate annual audits, financial reviews, tax filings, insurance audits, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting processes
  • Lead accounting system administration, integrations, and process improvement initiatives
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff across multiple locations
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of Controller or senior accounting leadership experience
  • Experience within construction, contracting, distribution, inventory-intensive, or project-based environments strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Experience managing teams and developing staff
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Experience with ERP systems and accounting software required
  • CPA preferred but not required
