About the work
In this field-first position, you’ll travel 100% to Symbotic customer sites across the U.S. to maximize uptime and reliability for our high-density AS/RS and Symbot Autonomous vehicle fleet. You’ll own complex troubleshooting with electro-mechanical diagrams and advanced test tools, perform upgrades and calibrations, and collaborate with on-site teams and Control Center Operators to commission new robots via system software and structure induction procedures. You’ll also inspect newly delivered vehicles, verify quality and Structure Ready status, and record complete maintenance activity in the CMMS. Every action is grounded in safetyOSHA, Symbotic, and customer proceduresplus disciplined 5S practices.

- Zero compromises on safety; consistent compliance with Lockout/Tagout and fall protection protocols.
- Fast diagnostics and durable fixes for stoppages and anomalies across the robotic fleet.
- Clear, timely communication of production impacts, recommended actions, and repair timelines.
- Effective automated vehicle recovery inside the Symbotic Matrix select systemeven in restrictive areas.
- Accurate and on-time inspections with thorough CMMS documentation (parts, labor, actions, root cause).
Is this you?
- Associate degree or equivalent experience/certification in electronics, automotive, automation, manufacturing, or similar (preferred).
- 5+ years supporting mechanical automation systems.
- High-level robotic troubleshooting capability; programming background a plus.
- Confident with electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; strong electrical troubleshooting and repair abilities.
- Proficient in all inspection activities; self-directed using procedures and manuals.
- Trainer and go-to resource for peers; able to represent Field Service independently in remote support.
- Capable team lead and delegator; ready to flex beyond normal scope as operations demand.
- Multitasker with excellent English communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license; able to fly and drive frequently.
Where you’ll operate
- Remote, field-based; travel up to 100%.
- Frequent walking and reaching; work at heights up to 45 feet; operate in 24-inch restrictive areas; stand; climb/balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Routinely lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Approx. 75% of time on construction sites with required PPE (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, safety glasses, hearing protection, fall protection such as a harness).
- Regular stair climbing in and around the structure; frequent proximity to elevated railings.
- Environment shielded from weather but not temperature; operate between 105°ree; and 32°ree; Fahrenheit.
Compensation that recognizes your impact
Base pay range: $71,000.00 - $97,900.00, with final offer based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO, and other programs.
