We are seeking a Diesel Trailer Mechanic to support a centralized fleet department and small maintenance crew. This shop-based role services a mixed fleet, including flatbeds, tankers, tractors, and trailers, with a balanced focus on preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, and fleet inspections.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and maintenance on flatbeds, tankers, tractors, and trailers.
- Complete preventive maintenance and fleet inspections.
- Diagnose and repair trailer brake systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
- Service and repair hydraulic systems.
- Support breakdown repairs in a shop-based environment.
- Maintain parts inventory for fleet maintenance operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of diesel and trailer maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with trailer brake systems, electrical troubleshooting, and hydraulic systems.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and diagnostic software.
- Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience as a mechanic working with trailers.
