Lead automation reliability and integration at USSTC

Join U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company (USSTC) in Richmond, VA and be the goto expert for manufacturing and processing operations, partnering with Maintenance and Engineering to drive uptime, capability, and new equipment success.

Your impact
  • Own complex troubleshooting for process and packing assets, including customized machinery and new product platforms.
  • Advance reliability: implement root cause analysis, predictive maintenance, and failure prevention to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Assess control system health using data trends/analytics; translate findings into actionable improvements.
  • Engineer and deploy PLC/HMI/drive updates to strengthen process capability and meet business demand.
  • Standardize and improve methods, documentation, and systems using disciplined problemsolving.
  • Coordinate major technical projects and crossfunctional initiatives.
What you bring
  • Undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 6–8 years of manufacturing experience with proven factory controls support and handson troubleshooting of PLCs/machine controls.
  • Preferred tools/tech: AllenBradley ControlLogix; AllenBradley drives and servo controllers; Beckhoff PLCs; vision systems; FactoryTalk View and AssetCentre; barcode readers.
  • Thrives in a fastpaced environment; strong communicator and influential leader.
  • Availability to provide support during normal and offbusiness hours, including weekends/holidays, as operations require.
Where you’ll work

Based in the Richmond area, you will support both Manufacturing and Processing operations while collaborating daily with Maintenance and Engineering teams.

Compensation and rewards

Compensation is determined by experience, knowledge, and qualifications. Salary range: $104,900.00 – $152,150.00.
