Position Overview:
The Process Engineer applies industrial and manufacturing engineering principles to improve throughput, capacity, reliability, labor utilization, and overall operating performance across QuestSpecialty’s aerosol manufacturing operations. The position analyzes production data, equipment performance, workflows, layouts, labor, and operating methods to identify constraints and implement practical improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze production performance, OEE, downtime, cycle times, changeovers, labor utilization, and production attainment to identify opportunities for improvemen
- Evaluate line balance, bottlenecks, equipment utilization, capacity, material flow, and plant layouts to increase productive output.
- Develop and improve standard work, production standards, cycle times, labor standards, and visual performance measures.
- Lead and support continuous-improvement projects that reduce downtime, waste, changeover time, labor requirements, rework, and scrap.
- Identify and evaluate automation, mechanization, equipment, and capital projects; support implementation, commissioning, and performance validation.
- Support new product introductions and process changes by establishing practical manufacturing methods, capacity requirements, and operating standards.
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, HSSE, Scheduling, and Materials to solve recurring manufacturing problems and sustain improvements.
- Develop actionable performance reports and use data to measure the results and financial/operational impact of improvement initiatives.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 2–5 years of manufacturing/industrial engineering experience preferred, with demonstrated process-improvement results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into practical shop-floor improvements.
- Experience with OEE, capacity analysis, line balancing, time studies, Lean/continuous improvement, and manufacturing KPIs preferred.
- Strong Excel/data-analysis skills; experience with automated manufacturing equipment or capital projects is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to spend 25%+ of an average day on your feet walking the lines.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently.
