Location: West Columbia, SC 29170
Contract: 3+ Months – Possible Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $18/hour on W2
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Job Description:
We are seeking an Assembler 3 to perform electronic and mechanical assembly, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of components and subassemblies in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electronic and mechanical components using hand/power tools and various assembly techniques.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, work orders, and production instructions.
- Perform soldering, crimping, fastening, riveting, press-fitting, and rework as required.
- Conduct quality inspections, testing, and measurements to ensure product specifications are met.
- Identify and report defects, non-conforming materials, and process issues.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of assemblies.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures while maintaining an organized workstation.
- Support continuous improvement and assist in training new operators.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of electronic assembly, manufacturing, or related experience.
- High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to read assembly drawings and technical instructions.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and microscopes.
- Basic computer and mathematical skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and perform repetitive hand movements.
