Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long-Term Care (LTC)
Location: Boone, IA
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening | 2:00 PM–10:00 PM | 7.5-hour shifts
Schedule: 5 shifts/week | 37.5 hours guaranteed | Every other weekend and every other holiday required | 30-minute unpaid break per shift
Local Candidates Required: Yes
Traveler Candidates Required: Yes

Pay Rate
Local: $36–$40/hour
Traveler: $40–$44/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced LPN to provide evening nursing care to residents in a Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing setting.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Iowa or Compact LPN or RN License.

  • Clinical experience in a Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing facility.

  • Proficiency in managing heavy medication administration passes and clinical treatments autonomously.

  • Proficiency with PointClickCare (PCC) charting software.

  • Experience handling paper MARs and TARs.

  • High scheduling reliability with availability for 7.5-hour evening shifts.

  • Commitment to every other weekend and every other holiday rotation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong experience managing high-volume medication passes and complex treatments.

  • Experience working independently in a senior living or skilled nursing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate evening nursing care to residents.

  • Coordinate and execute daily medication passes and complex treatments during the 2:00 PM–10:00 PM shift.

  • Maintain accurate electronic records using PointClickCare (PCC).

  • Manage paper-based Medication Administration Records (MARs) and Treatment Administration Records (TARs).

  • Monitor resident conditions and identify acute changes in health status.

  • Escalate changes in condition to attending providers as necessary.

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary clinical team to ensure resident safety, comfort, and compliance with facility standards.
