Interim Accounting Manager

Contract/Temporary opportunity for a hands-on Accounting Manager/Controller in the central CT area.This role will support core accounting and financial oversight activities, including month end close, some budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, and review of operational accounting activities.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead monthly close activities to ensure financial records are completed accurately and on schedule.

• Prepare and post journal entries that support organized, compliant, and well-documented accounting operations.

• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

• Produce financial reports that provide leadership with clear visibility into organizational performance.

• Review budget versus actual results, identify key differences, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications include:

• Demonstrated experience performing/overseeing month-end close

• Experience creating financial reports

• Ability to analyze budget-to-actual results and contribute to forecasting and financial planning activities.

• Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel
