Position Summary:
This position is responsible for managing commercial HVAC, mechanical, and building automation/controls projects from contract award through completion. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their projects, communicates well, stays organized, and can effectively manage schedules, budgets, field coordination, and customer expectations.
Responsibilities
· Manage commercial HVAC, mechanical, and controls projects from startup through closeout.
· Coordinate with customers, general contractors, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
· Review contracts, scopes of work, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
· Track project budgets, labor hours, costs, billing, and profitability.
· Manage RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, equipment procurement, and change orders.
· Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays or coordination issues.
· Attend project meetings and provide clear project updates.
· Coordinate equipment startup, controls integration, testing, and commissioning.
· Conduct jobsite visits as needed to monitor project progress.
· Manage punch lists, O&M manuals, warranties, as-builts, and project closeout.
· Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to contract requirements.
Qualifications
· 5+ years of construction project management experience preferred.
· Commercial HVAC, mechanical, and/or BAS/DDC controls experience strongly preferred.
· Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
· Experience with job costing, budgeting, scheduling, change orders, and project billing.
· Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple active projects and priorities.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
· Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
