Job Title: Assembly Operator

Pay Rate: $20.31/hr
Job Summary
The Manufacturing Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling, processing, inspecting, and packaging products according to work orders, customer specifications, drawings, and established quality standards. This position requires close attention to detail, accurate documentation, safe equipment operation, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Operating Procedures (OPs), and company safety policies.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble products according to work orders, customer specifications, drawings, and established quality guidelines.
Follow proper production steps to achieve acceptable products while maintaining safety, quality, efficiency, and minimal scrap.
Maintain accurate production and quality records as directed by supervisors or lead personnel.
Follow and understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Operating Procedures (OPs) applicable to assigned responsibilities.
Complete all required paperwork accurately and report production information as required in Factivity.
Use Bills of Materials, work order routing, product specifications, drawings, rulers, Tappi Charts, Go/No-Go Gauges, and other tools to ensure product specifications are met.
Set up branding equipment and brand coils according to product specifications.
Load, unload, and program post-cure ovens using the correct cycle based on specifications.
Operate spooling equipment according to established procedures and specifications.
Clean, inspect, and package products, including molded products.
Set up and operate tube-rinsing equipment.
Assemble pump sets according to product specifications.
Meet required production quantities while maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices and customer quality requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Perform other duties as assigned by management or supervisory personnel.
Follow all Workplace Safety Guidelines and company policies and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong mathematical and measuring skills.
Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Ability to read and understand work orders, product specifications, drawings, and production documentation.
Strong attention to detail and physical coordination.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
Ability to work with cleaning solutions such as isopropyl alcohol.
Ability to work respectfully and effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to sit for sustained periods when required.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed.
Ability to climb and balance when required by the production process.
Ability to perform repetitive movements involving the wrists, hands, and fingers.
Ability to grasp, handle, and feel materials and equipment primarily with the fingers.
Ability to visually inspect products, distinguish colors when required, and perform measuring and assembly tasks.
Ability to read and write detailed production information.
Ability to communicate and receive detailed information verbally.
Ability to work around moving equipment and production machinery.
Work may occasionally involve dust, fumes, dirt, chemicals, gases, smoke, noise, poor lighting, confined areas, hazardous materials, or vibration.
Rare exposure to extreme temperatures.
Safety equipment and protective clothing are required.
