About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced USCIS Immigration Attorney to join our legal team in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of substantive USCIS immigration experience, with strong experience handling both family-based and humanitarian immigration matters.
This position requires an attorney with sound legal judgment, excellent case preparation skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively. The attorney will work directly with clients and should be able to communicate complex immigration matters clearly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and handle a diverse caseload involving family-based and humanitarian immigration matters before USCIS.
- Prepare, review, and file immigration petitions, applications, forms, supporting documentation, and legal submissions.
- Develop effective case strategies based on applicable immigration laws, regulations, and USCIS procedures.
- Review client eligibility, identify potential issues, and provide sound legal advice and recommendations.
- Prepare responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and other USCIS correspondence.
- Conduct detailed legal research and analyze immigration laws, policies, and USCIS guidance.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure all filings and supporting documentation are complete and timely.
- Monitor case deadlines, filing requirements, appointments, and other critical dates.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, requirements, next steps, and potential issues.
- Conduct client consultations and gather relevant information needed to develop and prepare cases.
- Work collaboratively with legal support staff and other attorneys to ensure efficient case management.
- Stay current on changes to immigration laws, USCIS policies, procedures, and filing requirements.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, confidentiality, and client service.
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree.
- Active license and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
- Minimum 5 years of substantive USCIS immigration experience.
- Demonstrated experience handling both family-based and humanitarian immigration matters.
- Strong knowledge of USCIS procedures, forms, filing requirements, and case processes.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong client-management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to exercise sound legal judgment and work independently.
