Accounts Payable Accountant (Temporary to Try before Hire)
Manitowoc, WI (On-site)

ABR Employment Services is hiring an Accounts Payable Accountant for a short-term opportunity with potential long term opportunity ata well-established Manitowoc-area employer. If you enjoy detailed work, keeping vendors paid accurately and on time, and supporting month-end close, this could be a great fit.

Pay: $24–$25/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Location: On-site in Manitowoc, WI
Type: Temporary or Try Before Hire

What you’ll do

• Process AP invoices and accurately post transactions
• Run weekly payments (check, ACH, virtual card)
• Maintain clean AP records and resolve invoice/payment questions with internal teams and vendors
• Reconcile vendor statements and support vendor account maintenance
• Assist with month-end close activities, including AP accruals and maintaining ledgers
• Reconcile GR/IR to ensure invoices are processed timely
• Track and pay sales/use tax
• Support internal/external audit requests
• Assist with annual 1099 processing
• Complete additional accounting support tasks as assigned

What we’re looking for

Associate degree in Accounting (or related), strong attention to detail and organization, solid communication skills, and the ability to problem-solve and work accurately in a deadline-driven environment. Experience with SAP and/or OpenText is helpful, but not required.
