Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Night Shift

Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Shift: Nights | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Setting: Rural Hospital

Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile and experienced RRT to join a rural hospital team on the night shift. This role is ideal for an RT who is comfortable working independently across multiple patient populations and respiratory care needs.

There are only two RTs per shift, so each therapist will be responsible for covering approximately half of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients throughout the hospital.
• Support Adult ICU and Medical-Surgical patients.
• Attend all C-sections and high-risk deliveries.
• Assess patients and provide appropriate respiratory treatments and therapies.
• Manage and monitor respiratory equipment and therapies.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Respond to urgent and emergent respiratory situations.

Required Skills & Experience

Candidates should be comfortable and experienced with:

• BiPAP
• Mechanical ventilators
• Vapotherm
• Basic respiratory therapy/treatment modalities
• Adult ICU respiratory care
• Medical-Surgical patient care
• High-risk deliveries and C-sections

Schedule

• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• 12-hour shifts
• Two RTs per shift, with each therapist covering a designated portion of the hospital.
