Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Valid SLP license for practice in Rhode Island (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) preferred; strong CFY candidates are also encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience working in schools or with school-aged children is a plus
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Passion for supporting the diverse needs of students

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students with speech, language, voice, or fluency concerns
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and IEP requirements
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
  • Provide direct therapy services, track progress, and adapt interventions as needed
  • Engage in IEP meetings, documentation, and compliance with all required procedures
  • Support and mentor students and staff in communication development
