Position Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk

Location: Leesburg, VA – Hybrid, Tuesday–Thursday onsite

Employment Type: Temp-to-Permanent

Compensation: $31.00 –$33.65 / Per hour

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply and post customer payments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Reconcile customer accounts and research unapplied or misapplied cash
  • Generate and review customer invoices for accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain and monitor accounts receivable aging
  • Investigate and resolve billing and payment discrepancies
  • Track customer account issues and ensure timely follow-up and resolution
  • Support order release activities by reviewing account status and resolving account holds
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Finance on customer account issues
  • Maintain accurate customer master data and billing information
  • Prepare supporting documentation for accounts receivable transactions
  • Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts receivable
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and established accounting procedures
  • Identify and escalate complex account discrepancies or system-related issues
  • Analyze customer account activity and recommend solutions to recurring problems

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required
  • 3+ years of relevant accounts receivable experience required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic formulas, and data analysis
  • Experience working within a large ERP system required
