Job Description:
- Support manufacturing operations by coordinating material and production requirements to meet production goals.
- Determine appropriate inventory quantities based on operational demand and forecasts.
- Plan and order materials needed to maintain continuous production; release orders, expedite materials, and modify requisitions as needed.
- Schedule and prioritize production orders based on customer requirements, specifications, inventory, and available capacity.
- Coordinate manufacturing orders that require processing or finishing at other facilities.
- Communicate with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Procurement, and other teams to ensure orders are completed on time.
- Monitor and report order status, inventory levels, material usage, and key performance measures.
- Identify and resolve planning, material, inventory, and scheduling issues while managing multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
- Maintain accurate reports and planning data using Excel and internal systems.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED with 3+ years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Ideally 2+ years of production, materials, supply chain, inventory, or manufacturing planning experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, inventory management, and production scheduling.
- Experience prioritizing production needs based on forecasts, demand, inventory, capacity, and competing requirements.
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large datasets, formulas, sorting/filtering, and maintaining reports.
- Strong organizational, time-management, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including professional email etiquette.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently while managing multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
- Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
