Job Title: Maintenance MechanicJob Description

The General Mechanic plays a crucial role in supporting plant operations by performing equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility upkeep. Collaborating closely with production leadership, this position ensures equipment is repaired safely, efficiently, and returned to service in optimal condition. The role encompasses work across a wide range of industrial systems, including conveyors, corrugators, boilers, and air compressors.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with production supervisors to complete safe and effective equipment repairs.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and monthly safety inspections.
  • Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, corrugators, boilers, air compressors, and other plant equipment.
  • Complete repairs and facility modifications through the work order system.
  • Support reactive maintenance needs and adapt to shifting priorities and preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Accurately complete all assigned paperwork and coordinate with the Reliability Supervisor to ensure proper documentation.
  • Support additional maintenance tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair conveyors, corrugators, boilers, and air compressors.
  • Experience with electrical, hydraulics, and industrial systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong track record of safety, attendance, and quality workmanship.
  • Experience in corrugated manufacturing is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of lubrication, hydraulics, welding, and pneumatics.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to cross-train in additional technical areas.
  • Ability to work 2nd and 3rd shifts, call-ins, holidays, and frequent overtime.
  • Comfortable using computer systems for work orders, inventory, and maintenance processes.
  • Must provide personal tools.

Work Environment

The position is based at the plant in Gilroy, where you'll work alongside a team of four other technicians per shift. The role includes two swing shift openings from 2pm to 10pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends if needed.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lexington, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $87360.00 - $87360.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
