Job Title: Paralegal – Civil Litigation

Assignment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay: $31 – $36 / hour

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch; 100% onsite

About The Company:

Addison Group is hiring for our client, an established law firm in Fort Worth with a focus on civil litigation. The organization is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support a busy legal team and assist with a growing caseload.

Job Description:

The Paralegal will provide comprehensive litigation support to multiple attorneys, assisting with legal research, document preparation, court filings, case organization, and deadline management. The ideal candidate will have a strong civil litigation background and be comfortable managing multiple active matters in a fast-paced law firm environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research statutes, case law, court procedures, and other legal resources relevant to active matters.
  • Draft, revise, and proofread motions, briefs, pleadings, writs, and other legal documents.
  • Review transcripts, court records, and case materials to identify important information and potential issues.
  • Prepare and coordinate filings with state, county, and federal courts while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Review documents for accurate citations, formatting, and compliance with applicable court requirements.
  • Maintain case calendars, track important deadlines, and keep files organized throughout the litigation process.
  • Assist attorneys with hearing and trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and researching supporting case law.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and litigation support across multiple cases.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
  • Background in civil litigation, litigation defense, personal injury, or a related practice area.
  • Experience managing multiple cases and competing deadlines.
  • Strong legal research and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with legal research or case management software.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys.
  • Criminal, family law, estate, or primarily corporate/in-house paralegal experience will not meet the requirements for this position.
