The George Mauricio Agency is one of the largest and busiest Farmers Insurance agencies in Northern California. With nearly two decades of experience, we have built a reputation for exceptional customer service, professionalism, and operational excellence.

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our growing team.

This position focuses primarily on answering incoming phone calls, performing accurate data entry, processing documents, and providing administrative support to ensure our office operates efficiently.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced professional environment, is comfortable spending the majority of the workday at a desk using a computer, and takes pride in completing tasks accurately and efficiently.

This is an administrative and customer service position, not a commission-based sales role. Previous insurance experience is not required.

Candidates who currently hold an active Property & Casualty insurance license may qualify for a higher starting hourly rate than unlicensed candidates.

Responsibilities

Answer a high volume of incoming telephone calls promptly, courteously, and professionally.

Direct incoming calls to the appropriate team members or departments.

Assist customers with general inquiries and routine administrative requests.

Accurately document customer interactions, messages, and service requests.

Perform daily data entry, ensuring customer information is entered correctly and completely.

Process, review, scan, upload, and electronically file documents.

Review incoming paperwork for completeness and accuracy.

Maintain organized and accurate electronic customer records.

Monitor incoming emails and distribute correspondence to appropriate team members.

Assist with processing forms, applications, and other administrative documents.

Follow established office procedures and maintain confidentiality of customer information.

Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.

Provide general clerical and administrative support to other team members.

Help maintain smooth and efficient daily office operations.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Excellent telephone communication skills and professional phone etiquette.

Strong computer skills and proficiency with basic office software.

Accurate typing and data entry abilities.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to efficiently process documents and maintain accurate records.

Strong multitasking and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.

Comfortable handling a high volume of incoming calls and administrative tasks.

Dependable, punctual, professional, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume office environment.

Comfortable working at a desk and using a computer for the majority of an eight-hour shift, with normal breaks and reasonable accommodations as applicable.

Willingness to learn new software programs and office procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

Active California Property & Casualty insurance license.

Previous customer service, receptionist, or office administration experience.

Experience with high-volume telephone systems.

Experience processing paperwork, scanning documents, and maintaining electronic files.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or CRM systems.

Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.

Previous insurance office experience is a plus, but not required.
