We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer for our warehouse operations. This role is essential in ensuring accurate order fulfillment, efficient inventory management, and safe handling of materials. Responsibilities
- Select items accurately using order pickers, barcode scanners, and RF scanners to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
- Pack products securely for shipment, ensuring quality control standards are met.
- Load and unload goods using appropriate material handling equipment while adhering to safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management systems and perform regular stock counts.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all warehouse activities.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve workflow efficiency.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock locations and replenishing inventory as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including order picking, packing, and inventory management.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and RF scanners.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and materials handling best practices.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation.
- Previous experience working with warehouse supervision or in a distribution center is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
