Sequim Rehabilitation

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure meals meet quality, presentation, and food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work area.
- Follow all applicable health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Monitor food and supply inventory and assist with ordering as needed.
- Work collaboratively with culinary team members to support efficient daily operations.
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation as needed.
- Help create a positive dining experience for our residents.
Qualifications
- Previous cooking or culinary experience preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Dependable with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Culinary certification or related training is preferred but not required.

Full-time shifts may include:
- Morning Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Requirements:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Licenses/Certification
- ServSafe Food Safety Certification required.
- Food Handlers permit if required per state regulations.
Experience
- Six months’ experience in large quantity food preparation. Experience with therapeutic diet preparation preferred.
- Six months experience in a long term care environment preferred.
- NOTE: Federal Child Labor Laws do not permit employees younger than 18 years of age to work with or repair, adjust, or clean power-driven machines such as meat slicers and commercial mixers. Therefore, individuals must be at least 18 years of age to be employed in this position.
