Why this role?

You want a leadership job that keeps you in the field, shoulder-to-shoulder with crewssolving problems, raising quality, and delivering safe, energy-efficient homes. You’ll report to the Weatherization Production Manager and help run daily field operations for THP’s Weatherization team. Bilingual Spanish/English communication is a must so you can train and direct teams effectively.

What will you do?
  • Guide multiple crews through daily assignments, scheduling, workflow, and prioritieswithout losing momentum on production.
  • Pick up the tools when neededinsulation, air sealing, ventilation, moisture control, and health/safety scopes.
  • Be the on-site troubleshooter for Crew Leaders to keep projects moving and on schedule.
  • Verify quality and safety: perform field inspections and confirm compliance with THP standards and program requirements.
  • Spot issues early and work directly with crews to correct them, reducing callbacks and preventing failed inspections.
  • Coach and develop Crew Leaders and Technicians through hands-on training in proper installation and production methods.
  • Review work orders, photos, test data, measurements, material usage, and all program documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Make sure crews have the right tools, materials, vehicles, and job information at the right time.
  • Monitor productivity, labor hours, material consumption, and job progress to elevate efficiency.
  • Close out punch lists quickly with proper documentation and verification.
  • Maintain NREL badges, certifications, and any weatherization program credentials as required.
  • Enforce OSHA and THP safety policies and stop unsafe practices immediately.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal stakeholders about schedules, progress, workmanship, and field concerns.
  • Support hiring, performance feedback, planning, and continuous improvement with the Production Manager.
Is this you?
  • Fluent in Spanish and English; confident training, coaching, and directing field teams in both languages.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in weatherization, building performance, insulation, residential construction, or energy efficiency (preferred).
  • Solid field know-how in insulation, air sealing, ventilation, moisture management, and residential building science.
  • Experience as a Crew Leader, Lead Technician, Foreman, or similar role preferred.
  • Comfortable working physically alongside crews while providing leadership.
  • BPI certification and/or experience with state, federal, utility, or income-qualified weatherization programs preferred.
  • Track record of inspecting work, troubleshooting issues, and coaching for improved results.
  • Strong communicator, organized, decisive, and solutions-focused.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
