Title: Quality Inspector
Type:Temporary to Permanent
Pay:$20
Shift:Monday – Friday,6:30 am to 3 pm(mandatory OT required at times)
Location:Willoughby
Position Summary:
Perform final, first piece, and in-process inspection on a variety of parts and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of inspections using a variety of Company measuring instruments and equipment, and the inspection procedures and allowable variations as prescribed.
- Adhere to all applicable procedures as specified in theCompanyQualityControl Manual.
- Document all inspection data on the respective forms per theCompanyQualityControl Manual.
- Make clear and concise decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of anoperation or product.
- Initiate/completeCertification, QA and NRC reports as fit
- During in-process inspection, respond cooperatively and expeditiously with PressRoom personnel.
- Provide suggestions, ideas, & contribute to continuous improvement activities
- Maintain the inspection area and the equipment in a neat and orderly manner as prescribed by thehousekeeping requirements and good process flow.
- Understand high priority demands and maintain in-process inspection.
- Adhere toCompanystandard procedures such as the Safety Manual and the EmployeeHandbook.
- Occasionally performs other associated tasks as assigned by the Manager.
- Assist/facilitate press operators in performing their own in process inspections
- Assist in monitoringfloorwith random floor audits.
Qualifications:
- Prior quality inspection experiencerequired, metal stamping environment preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to usemeasuring tools and read blueprints.
- Experience withquality related documentation.
- Goodcommunication skills.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing or production floor environment.
- May be exposed to moderate noiseandmachinery.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required as applicable.
