About the Opportunity
Are you a recent accounting graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to build your experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting operations? We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team and support a variety of accounting functions while gaining hands-on exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, audits, and month-end close activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post general ledger, bank, and payroll journal entries.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and reports.
- Help gather documentation and schedules for annual audits.
- Analyze financial data and identify unusual variances.
- Collaborate with departments across the organization to improve financial reporting and processes.
- Participate in special projects and other accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Location: South Bend, IN
Pay: 65k-70k
