Position Summary
Performs manual and clerical tasks using computers, scanners, and handheld devices to move, track, and manage warehouse stock. Ensures materials are safely transported, inventory records are updated, and company policies are followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Pulling & Moving Stock: Locates and picks items from the warehouse using pick lists and scanners. Transports production and non-production materials using a forklift, pallet jack, or truck.
- Receiving & Inspection: Inspects incoming deliveries for damage and matches packages against shipping documents. Faxes material requests and follows up with buyers and vendors.
- Inventory Control: Fills consumption bins, performs system updates in SAP, and completes regular inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Safety & Workplace Care: Follows company policies and maintains a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
Requirements & Capabilities
- Physical: Able to lift and carry heavy packages.
- Tools & Equipment: Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks, as well as using barcode scanners and SAP software.
- Work Style: Good organizational skills to prioritize tasks, strong attention to detail for inventory accuracy, and the ability to follow instructions and solve basic work problems with support from team leads.
