RN Registered Nurse Unit Manager

As a RN Registered Nurse Unit Manager at our state-of-the-art facility in Philadelphia, PA, you will play a vital role in leading our nursing team and ensuring the highest level of care is delivered to our residents.

About the Role:

As a RN Registered Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our nursing unit, including supervising a team of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants. You will also be responsible for coordinating patient care, monitoring patient outcomes, and developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of care is delivered.

RN Registered Nurse Unit Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the nursing unit, including supervising a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals

  • Coordinate patient care, including developing individualized care plans and leading care conferences

  • Monitor patient outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of care is delivered

  • Collaborate with other departments, including social work, therapy, and dietary, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care

  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including mentoring and coaching to enhance skills and performance

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

  • Maintain accurate and timely records, including patient records and unit reports

RN Registered Nurse Unit Manager Requirements:

  • RN Registered Nurse license

  • Prior experience as a registered nurse, preferably in long term care

  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures

  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
