This role focuses on assembling electronic components and systems according to detailed schematics and specifications. You will perform precise soldering on printed circuit boards, fabricate parts as needed, and use hand tools and measuring instruments to ensure high-quality, reliable assemblies. The position also involves troubleshooting assembly processes and equipment to maintain smooth production operations.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble electronic components and systems in line with detailed schematics, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform soldering tasks on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other electronic components, with a focus on surface mount technology (SMT).
  • Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and ohmmeters, to verify accurate assembly and alignment.
  • Fabricate parts as required to support assembly processes while maintaining compliance with established quality standards.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to guide wiring, electrical assembly, and component placement.
  • Conduct wiring and electrical assembly work to integrate components into complete systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to assembly processes, wiring, or equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and support consistent production quality.
  • Work with logic controllers and assist in their integration into assembly processes when required.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required protective equipment to maintain a safe work area.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in electronic assembly or a closely related field.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in soldering techniques, particularly with surface mount technology (SMT) on PCBs.
  • Hands-on experience with assembly, wiring, and electrical assembly tasks.
  • Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments, including calipers and ohmmeters, accurately and safely.
  • Solid understanding of electrical concepts and schematic interpretation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot assembly-related issues effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to meeting quality standards in all assembly work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with logic controllers and their integration into assembly processes is preferred.
  • Comfort working with a variety of hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
  • Strong communication skills to report issues and collaborate on solutions.
  • Willingness to follow established procedures and continuous improvement practices.

Work Environment

This is a full-time role with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some potential for fluctuating hours based on production needs. Work takes place in an industrial or manufacturing setting focused on electronic assembly, where you regularly use hand tools, soldering equipment, and precision measuring instruments. Steel-toe footwear is required, and adherence to safety protocols and protective equipment standards is expected.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.35 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
