Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Warehouse Technicians to support daily warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, inventory management, order picking, packing, forklift operation, and light assembly.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of warehouse experience and 6 months of forklift experience, along with strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Receive, inspect, organize, and stock incoming materials and parts.
- Pick and prepare parts and materials for customer and production orders.
- Pack both small and large parts using appropriate packing methods.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Perform shipping and receiving activities, including labeling and documentation.
- Wrap products and perform export packing and crating as required.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and perform regular cycle counts.
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and safe.
Forklift & Equipment Operation
- Operate various types of forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Safely move, stage, load, and unload materials throughout the facility.
- Follow established equipment operating and safety procedures.
- Use mobile equipment and hand tools as required.
Systems & Documentation
- Use Oracle and Warehouse Management System (WMS) applications for warehouse transactions.
- Utilize PC applications and RF/RF scanner technology for picking and inventory activities.
- Read and interpret pick tickets, packing instructions, safety alerts, and other operational communications.
- Follow written procedures and accurately document warehouse activities.
Light Assembly
- Perform basic/light assembly work according to drawings, work instructions, and established procedures.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings and instructions.
- Ensure assembled components meet quality and safety requirements.
Safety & Teamwork
- Follow all safety, quality, productivity, and attendance requirements.
- Consistently use required PPE and follow warehouse safety procedures.
- Work effectively with team members and maintain strong communication.
- Maintain a customer-focused approach while completing warehouse activities.
- Be flexible and willing to work overtime when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
- Minimum 6 months of forklift driving experience.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions, pick tickets, and safety communications.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to meet established safety, productivity, quality, and attendance standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current forklift certification.
- Experience with Oracle or equivalent ERP systems.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience using RF scanners/RF picking systems.
- Previous shipping, receiving, inventory, or stockkeeping experience.
- Experience with light mechanical assembly.
- Ability to learn new equipment, systems, and processes quickly.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the workday.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate mobile warehouse equipment.
- Ability to use hand tools and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Ability to wear required PPE throughout the workday.
- Regular attendance and interaction with coworkers are essential.
Work Environment
- Work is primarily performed in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment.
- The role involves frequent movement, material handling, equipment operation, and interaction with other warehouse personnel.
- Employees are expected to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times.
