Overview
We are seeking a Quality Engineer with automotive manufacturing experience and hands-on IATF 16949 experience to join a growing precision manufacturing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and improve the QMS in accordance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Customers to resolve quality issues.
- Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
- Support APQP and PPAP activities for new products and engineering changes.
- Utilize quality core tools including PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and PPAP.
- Investigate customer complaints and internal nonconformances.
- Support internal, customer, and supplier audits.
- Analyze quality data to reduce scrap, improve process capability, and prevent recurring issues.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Quality Engineering or Quality Systems experience in manufacturing.
- Hands-on IATF 16949 experience – required.
- Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and automotive quality core tools.
- Strong root cause analysis and corrective action experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Experience with metal forming, springs, wire products, stamping, or precision manufacturing is a plus.
